Texas RV Comprehensive and Collision coverage pays for the cost to repairs or replacement of your RV (after all deductibles) in case it is stolen or damaged in an accident, regardless of fault.

If Your insurance company covers damages to your RV when you collide with another vehicle or object. If you hit a car, a pole or another non-living object, Collision coverage will apply and pay for damages.

If damages to your RV are caused by an incident other than an auto collision (ie fire, theft, vandalism, etc). If you hit an animal on the road, or if your RV catches on fire or is stolen, Comprehensive coverage covers your damages.

In Texas, there are three options available for RV insurance against a total loss

This is a basic policy that simply pays the actual cash value of your RV at the time of loss. Cash or market value is often the most economical choice to insure your RV in Texas. In cases where your RV is legally declared a total loss, this coverage kicks in and pays you either the lower of the actual cash value (ACV) at the time of loss, or the market value displayed on the Declarations page for the RV. Such market value figures are to be reviewed periodically to ensure they accurately reflect the current value of the RV.

Market Value
Policy

This type of policy simply pays the submitted value of your RV that you selected at the start of your policy, regardless of the current market or cash value. Agreed Value offers protection without considering depreciation for total losses. The total loss payout under Agreed Value policy is the agreed value as shown on the Declarations page of your policy. Proof of value is required for this option. This means the purchase documents for RVs purchased less than two years ago, and appraisals for RVs purchased more than two years ago.

Agreed Value
Policy

This coverage pays for replacement cost of your RV with the newest available model, however only if your RV is declared a total loss within its first five model years. In other words, Total Loss Replacement, otherwise known as Purchase Price Coverage provides you with a new, untitled RV if your RV is five model years old or newer and is considered a total loss. For RVs older than five years, the total loss payout will be the purchase price (as reflected on the Declarations) which includes the cost of all attached equipment, tax, title & license, and must be increased if other equipment is added later. This coverage is only available for new RVs, up to one model year old.
